    Kindergarten Teacher

    Ms. Tammy Todd is a dedicated kindergarten teacher at Buffalo Academy with over eleven years of experience in education, working with students from kindergarten through seventh grade. Outside the classroom, Tammy enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and savoring a good book with a cup of coffee. She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Texas Woman's University.

    Kindergarten Assistant & Art Teacher

    Ms. Noemi Zelaya serves as the art teacher at Buffalo Academy, bringing 12 years of experience as an artist and designer. Throughout her career, Noemi has worked as an art director, designer, illustrator, and painting instructor, enriching her creative approach in the classroom. Outside of work, she enjoys crafting elaborate piñatas and pursuing her passion for gardening, with a special interest in exotic plants. Noemi is a member of Redeemer Church in Greensboro, where she also teaches in the children's ministry.

    Teacher Assistant & Bible Class Teacher

    Ms. Lynn Beasley serves as an assistant teacher at Buffalo Academy, bringing over twenty years of educational experience to our school. Throughout her career, Lynn has worked with children from ages 4 to 14, fostering a love of learning across a range of ages. Outside of the classroom, Lynn and her husband enjoy fishing and exploring the beauty of the North Carolina mountains. She attended Southern Evangelical Seminary in Charlotte, North Carolina.

    Teacher Assistant

    Mrs. Tara McNees is an assistant teacher at Buffalo Academy. She has enjoyed more than 20 years in the classroom in various settings. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Deaf Education from UNCG and is pursuing her Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology. She enjoys spending time with her family playing games, watching movies, and traveling.

  • Lisa Upper

    1st Grade Teacher

    Mrs. Lisa Upper is a first-grade teacher at Buffalo Academy, bringing nearly thirty years of teaching experience across many grade levels and school positions. Lisa enjoys traveling with her family and performing in local theater productions. She earned her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Wake Forest University, and holds two master’s degrees from UNCG: School Administration and in Library and Information Studies. Lisa is passionate about classical education, using academic content to build a strong character and a love for Christ in each of her students. Lisa endeavors to teach her students to pursue the godly characteristics of Truth, Beauty, and Goodness while cultivating a  lifelong love of learning.

  • Tatum Elliot

    2nd Grade Teacher

    Ms. Elliott is a 2nd grade teacher at Buffalo Academy. Teaching second grade, Tatum brings enthusiasm and a love for learning to her students. She earned her undergraduate degree from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Outside the classroom, Tatum enjoys exploring new places, discovering unique coffee shops, and playing volleyball.

  • Elizabeth Smith

    3rd Grade Teacher

    Ms. Elizabeth Smith teaches third grade at Buffalo Academy, bringing over 20 years of experience in education and professional development. Elizabeth has served as a leadership and professional development trainer, school-wide tutor, and substitute teacher at Buffalo Academy and other private schools. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and volunteering at her church. Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Sociology from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkansas.

  • Laura Guthrie

    4th Grade Teacher

    Laura Guthrie teaches fourth grade at Buffalo Academy, bringing over 20 years of experience teaching students of various ages on three continents. She graduated from Bob Jones University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Studies Education. She loves to travel and spend time with her family and friends!

  • Marla Barham

    Music Teacher

    Ms. Marla Barham teaches music to all students at Buffalo Academy, bringing 18 years of experience across all age levels, from toddlers to high schoolers. Her teaching repertoire includes band, choir, and general music. Marla earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Bethel University in Indiana and is actively involved in her church as the director of both the children’s and adult choirs, as well as a member of the praise band. In her free time, Marla enjoys life on her farm, traveling, and singing with her husband Zac and their three grown children.

  • Cam Garman

    Communications Coordinator

    Cam Garman serves as the communications coordinator, with over a decade of experience in business, marketing, and media, Cam brings a creative and strategic voice to our communications efforts. Originally from the West Coast, she now calls Greensboro home, where she lives with her husband and their two children. In addition to her role here, Cam runs a part-time family photography business and enjoys spending her free time at the gym. Her passion for storytelling, community connection, and intentional design helps shape the way we share our mission with others.

    Chapel Pastor

    Brian Marsh serves as the Chapel Pastor at Buffalo Academy, where he brings warmth, wisdom, and a love for guiding students in their faith. As the pastor of Buffalo Presbyterian Church and an enthusiastic Clemson fan, Brian has a heart for both his community and his congregation. He is an avid outdoorsman who finds inspiration in nature and enjoys sharing his appreciation for God’s creation with the students. Pastor Marsh is dedicated to fostering a nurturing spiritual environment where students can grow in their understanding of faith.

    Front Desk & Admin

    Debbie Juday is the friendly face at the front desk of Buffalo Academy, warmly greeting everyone who walks through our doors. As a valued employee of our church, Debbie supports the school in countless ways, from assisting with tuition payments to answering questions with a smile. Her love for the Lord shines through in her interactions, making her a reassuring presence for students, parents, and staff alike. We’re deeply grateful for her dedication and joyful spirit, which bless both our school and church communities.

  • Bill Rhodes

    Treasurer

    Bill Rhodes serves as Treasurer of Buffalo Academy and Buffalo Presbyterian Church. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Accountants and provides the accounting assistance needed for both organizations. Bill loves the Lord and has been a member of Buffalo for 22 years. He is currently serving as a Ruling Elder. Bill and his wife Mary live on a farm and enjoy the many activities afforded them with farm life.
